To provide a paint spray-type repelling device capable of reliably depressing an injection button of a cylinder and minimizing a harmful effect caused by elongation of wires.SOLUTION: A paint spray-type repelling device 1 includes a trigger 2, a first gear 3, a second gear 4 geared with the first gear 3, a pulley 5 fixed to the second gear 4, two wires 6 wound around an outer periphery of the pulley 5, a converter 7 converting substantially horizontal displacement of the wires 6 into substantially vertical displacement, a piston 9 disposed in the cylinder 8 and substantially vertically driven by the displacement of the two wires 6, a cylinder support holder 11, and a button operation part 13 located at a lower end of the piston 9.
