Abstract | To provide an object recognition device capable of properly recognizing a shape of an object.SOLUTION: An object recognition device 10 is applied to a vehicle having object detection sensors 21, 22 for detecting an object. During traveling of a vehicle, the device acquires a plurality of detection points detected along an outer front surface of a target object as the detection points of the object detected by the object detection sensors, so as to recognize the target object based on the detection points. The object recognition device 10 performs: determining detection directions of the object detection sensors for each detection point detected along the outer front surface of the target object; identifying directions of the outer front surface of the target object based on the determined detection directions; and recognizing the target object based on the identified directions of the outer front surface of the target object.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
