Summary:To securely remove an insulation film of a rectangular wire including a corner while reducing running cost.SOLUTION: A film removal method of a rectangular wire 1a includes: a first film removal step S2 for removing an insulation film 2a on a first side constituting a cross section of the rectangular wire 1a forming a rectangular shape; and a second film removal step S4 for removing an insulation film 2b on a second side which constitutes a cross section of the rectangular wire 1a with the first side and intersects with the first side.
