Summary:To provide a method for manufacturing a pillar garnish which can manufacture a pillar garnish while preventing partial deformation of a body part 10 without increasing a work process as much as possible when a cushion part (31) is molded in the body part 10 of the pillar garnish.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a pillar garnish includes: a pillar garnish body part preparation step; an injection molding die preparation step; a step of setting a body part 10 in an opened injection molding die 40; a mold-closing step of closing the injection molding die; and an injection step of injecting an elastic polymer material in a heated and molten state. The injection molding die 40 has a fixed die 41 and a movable die 42, and the fixed die 41 has a contact surface 41b contacting a back face side of a head part of the body part 10, and a cavity 41c for a connection part at an internal position separated from the contact surface. In mold-closing, a cavity 50 for an injection flow channel, a cavity 53 for a block part, and a cavity 51 for a cushion part (31) are connected to each other by the cavity 41c for the connection part of the fixed die.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6 【課題】ピラーガーニッシュの本体部10にクッション部(31等)を成形する際に、作業工程を極力増やすことなく、本体部10の部分的な変形を防止しつつピラーガーニッシュの製造を可能とする、ピラーガーニッシュの製造方法を提供する。【解決手段】本方法は、ピラーガーニッシュ本体部準備工程、射出成形型準備工程、開いた状態の射出成形型40に本体部10をセットする工程、射出成形型を閉じる型閉じ工程、加熱されて溶融状態の弾性ポリマー材料を射出する射出工程を備える。射出成形型40は固定型41及び可動型42を有し、固定型41は、本体部10の頭部の裏面側に当接する当接面41bと、該当接面から離れた内部位置にある連結部用キャビティ41cとを有する。型閉じ時、固定型の連結部用キャビティ41cにより、射出流路用キャビティ50及び塊部用キャビティ53と、クッション部(31)用キャビティ51とが連結される。【選択図】図6
