Summary:To provide a mobile body with enhanced safety by suppressing a risk due to information overload.SOLUTION: A monitoring support system includes a mobile body and a monitoring apparatus which monitors a space in which the mobile body exists, using the mobile body. The mobile body includes: an imaging apparatus which images the surrounding of the mobile body to output imaging information indicating a captured image; a recognition unit which recognizes one or more objects existing around the mobile body on the basis of the imaging information, and outputs recognition information indicating a recognition result for each object; a calculation unit which calculates, for each object, location information including a direction from the mobile body, on the basis of the recognition information; and a transmission control unit which transmits the imaging information and the location information to the monitoring apparatus using a transmission apparatus.
