Abstract | To provide a hydraulic damper for reducing man-hours for development when setting damping force.SOLUTION: The hydraulic damper includes a piston 20 to be slidably displaced in a cylinder tube 18, a piston rod 12 to be displaced integrally with the piston 20, a piston port part 34 for communicating a first chamber 30 and a second chamber 32 parted by the piston, with each other, a first leaf valve 50 and a second leaf valve 56 arranged downstream of the piston port part 34 where pressure oil is distributed, and a sub valve 60 arranged upstream of the first leaf valve 50 and downstream of the second leaf valve 56, the sub valve 60 being provided with a sub valve port part 76 which is communicated with a flow path of the piston port part 34. A total sum (S2) of the flow path cross section area of the sub valve port part 76 is smaller than a total sum (S1) of the flow path cross section area of the piston port part 34 (S1>S2).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
