Summary:To provide an inkjet recording device, which can prevent ink from adhering during pausing and when viscosity of ink in a main ink container deviates from a range of adequate viscosity, can adjust the viscosity of ink so that the viscosity is in the range of adequate viscosity.SOLUTION: An inkjet recording device is configured to control a printing head and a main body, so that processing of supplying a solvent stored in a solvent container to the printing head and processing of returning of the solvent to an ink container through a circulation passage and a recovery passage are performed repeatedly for each constant time during pausing of printing by the printing head, and which is further configured to dispose portion of ink stored in the ink container from the printing head through a supply passage into a head attachment unit, with the printing head attached to the head attachment unit and to supply the solvent stored in the solvent container to the ink container so as to reduce viscosity of the ink stored inside the ink container, when the viscosity of ink measured by a viscosity measuring part is higher than a previously set predetermined range.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】インクジェット記録装置において、休止中にインクが固着してしまうのを防止でき、かつ、主インク容器内のインクの粘度が適正な粘度の範囲から外れてしまった場合に、インクの粘度が適正な範囲になるように調整することを可能にする。【解決手段】印字ヘッドと本体を制御して、溶剤容器に収容した溶剤を印字ヘッドに供給して循環経路と回収経路を通してインク容器に戻すことを、印字ヘッドによる印字の休止中の一定時間ごとに繰り返して行うように構成し、粘度測定部で測定したインクの粘度が予め設定した所定の範囲よりも高い場合には、印字ヘッドをヘッド装着ユニットに装着した状態で、インク容器に収容されているインクの一部を供給経路を介して印字ヘッドからヘッド装着ユニットの内部に廃棄して溶剤容器に収容された溶剤をインク容器に供給することによりインク容器に内部に収容されているインクの粘度を低減させるように構成した。【選択図】図1
