Summary: | To reduce the workload for stopping a recess of a transport drum at a maintenance position as compared with the case that an operator brings the recess into stop at the maintenance position by inching the transport drum.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 10 includes a transport unit 200 comprising a chain 49 that constitutes a part of a transport route to carry a sheet P, a gripper 42 that is fixed to the chain 49 for circulation and to hold a front end P1 of the sheet P, an image-forming transport drum 39 that is provided with a recess 100 receiving the gripper 42 with which the chain 49 is rotatably engaged and a drying transport drum 302 that is provided with a recess 101, and an operation panel 16 for selecting the image-forming transport drum 39 or the drying transport drum 302, thus having a mode to stop the image-forming transport drum 39 or the drying transport drum 302 such that the recess 100 of the image-forming transport drum 39 or the recess 101 of the drying transport drum 302 selected on the operation panel 16 comes to a maintenance position.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
