To provide a storable lifting device and a storage method thereof in a simple and easy configuration securely preventing damage on the lifting device and contact of the lifting device on people when a subsequent bogie moves.SOLUTION: A lifting device 4 provided on a subsequent bogie 1 of a shield tunnel traveling on a rail track 2 in a shield tunnel S comprises: a lifting part 44 in a ladder or a stair way with one end supported on a passage 3 provided on an inner wall surface of the shield tunnel S; guide rollers 43, 43 clamping the lifting part 44 from both sides thereof; and a work floor 41 on which the guide rollers 43, 43 are fixed.
