Summary:To provide a method for efficient manufacturing of a peripheral oriented arc-shaped profile sheet magnet with a high surface magnetic flux density and low variation of a quantity of the magnetic leakage flux in a direction perpendicular to an orientation direction at all locations on its surface.SOLUTION: A manufacturing method for a magnet comprises a filling process for filling powder for neodymium magnets the average particle diameter of which is within a specific range and that contains a lubricant at a specific value or less into a mold having two or more cavities including a cavity with an arc-shaped profile at a specific pack density to obtain a powder filled mold, an orientation process for loading the powder filled mold into 2 N poles (N is a natural number) orientation yoke and orientating the powder for neodymium magnets by applying a specific orientation magnetic field without applying a pressure to the filled powder for neodymium magnets, to obtain an oriented mold, and a sintering process for loading the oriented mold into a sintering furnace to sinter the powder together with the mold to obtain a sintered body, so that a peripheral oriented arc-shaped profile sheet magnet is obtained.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】表面磁束密度が高く、表面の全ての箇所における配向方向に対して垂直な方向における漏洩磁束量の大きさのバラツキが小さい周配向断面円弧状の板磁石を効率的に製造する方法の提供。【解決手段】平均粒子径が特定範囲であり、潤滑剤を特定値以下含むネオジム磁石用粉末を特定の充填密度で、断面が円弧形状のものを含む2以上のキャビティを有するモールドに充填し、粉末充填済みモールドを得る充填工程と、前記キャビティの断面の円弧が配向方向に沿うように、前記粉末充填済みモールドを2N極(Nは自然数)配向ヨークへ装填し、充填された前記ネオジム磁石用粉末に圧力を加えることなく特定の配向磁界を印加することで前記ネオジム磁石用粉末を配向し、配向済みモールドを得る配向工程と、前記配向済みモールドを焼結炉へ装入してモールドごと焼結し、焼結体を得る焼結工程と、を備え、周配向断面円弧状板磁石が得られる、磁石の製造方法。【選択図】図1
