Summary: | To provide a technology which can set a correspondence relation between a resistance value of a detection resistor and a temperature in an easy method in a liquid discharge head.SOLUTION: A liquid discharge device includes: a liquid discharge head; a temperature acquisition unit for acquiring a temperature of the liquid discharge head; and a control unit which controls discharge operation of the liquid discharge head. The liquid discharge head includes: a pressure chamber substrate having multiple pressure chambers; piezoelectric elements each including individual electrodes, a common electrode, and a piezoelectric material; driving wiring for applying a voltage for driving the piezoelectric materials to the piezoelectric materials; and a detection resistor for acquiring a temperature in the pressure chambers. The temperature acquisition unit acquires first coefficient information regarding a first resistance temperature coefficient of the detection resistor, which is stored in a storage unit in advance, before the discharge operation, acquires discharge time resistance information regarding a resistance value of the detection resistor during the discharge operation, and can carry out first temperature acquisition operation for acquiring a discharge time temperature in the pressure chambers during the discharge operation by using the first coefficient information and the discharge time resistance information acquired.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
【課題】液体吐出ヘッドにおいて、検出抵抗体の抵抗値と温度との対応関係を簡易な方法で設定することができる技術を提供する。【解決手段】液体吐出装置は、液体吐出ヘッドと、液体吐出ヘッドの温度を取得するための温度取得部と、液体吐出ヘッドの吐出動作を制御する制御部と、を備える。液体吐出ヘッドは、複数の圧力室を有する圧力室基板と、個別電極、共通電極および圧電体を備える圧電素子と、圧電体を駆動する電圧を圧電体に印加するための駆動配線と、圧力室内の温度を取得するための検出抵抗体とを有する。温度取得部は、記憶部に予め記憶された検出抵抗体の第1抵抗温度係数に関する第1係数情報を、吐出動作よりも前に取得し、吐出動作中に、検出抵抗体の抵抗値に関する吐出時抵抗情報を取得し、取得した第1係数情報および吐出時抵抗情報を用いて、吐出動作中の圧力室内の吐出時温度を取得する第1温度取得動作を実行可能である。【選択図】図2 |
