To accurately grasp the amount of supply from a pump mounted in a fixing device even if the pump has an error in supply capacity with respect to the standard specification.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus comprises: a first retention unit; a second retention unit; a spray device; a first pump that sends a fixing solution from the first retention unit to the second retention unit; a detection unit; and a control unit. The first pump is specified such that when the pump is driven at a first rotation speed N1 being a standard rotation speed, it requires first time T1 to supply a first predetermined amount V1 of fixing solution to the second retention unit in an empty state. The detection unit detects that the first predetermined amount V1 of fixing solution is supplied to the second retention unit. The control unit drives the first pump at the first rotation speed N1 (S10), and executes first measurement processing of measuring second time T2 required for the pump to supply the first predetermined amount V1 of fixing solution to the second retention unit in an empty state (S11).
