Summary:To provide toner excellent in the image density stability, charge stability and filming resistance.SOLUTION: Toner according to the present invention contains toner particles. The toner particles include a toner base particle and an external additive adhering to the surface of the toner base particle. The external additive contains a first external additive particle and a fluorine-containing particle. The first external additive particle comprises: an aluminum oxide particle; a conductive layer which covers the aluminum oxide particle; and a monolayer or multilayer protective layer which covers the conductive layer. The conductive layer contains antimony-doped tin oxide. The protective layer includes a layer containing a component derived from a titanate coupling agent or includes an inner layer containing methylol melamine, urethane resin or aluminum hydroxide and an outer layer containing a component derived from a silane coupling agent. The powder specific resistance of the first external additive particle is equal to or less than 50 Ω cm.
