Summary:To provide a technique capable of avoiding overcharging of a secondary battery.SOLUTION: A fuel cell system includes: a fuel cell supplying power to at least one load; a secondary battery connected in parallel to the fuel cell while a converter does not intervene therebetween, the secondary battery being passively charged or discharged depending on the output voltage of the fuel cell; and a controller monitoring the output voltage of the fuel cell and executing a protection operation mode when the voltage of the fuel cell exceeds a first threshold.
