The resolver 10 comprises a resolver rotor 11, a retainer 40 fixed to the rotation shaft 23, and connection members 51 connecting the resolver rotor 11 and the retainer 40 to each other. The resolver rotor 11 has an insertion hole 111 allowing insertion of the rotation shaft 23 with an interval between the rotation shaft 23 and the insertion hole.
