To provide an illuminating device in which an appliance body in which a battery is arranged in a concave part can be downsized.SOLUTION: An illuminating device 10 comprises an appliance body 11, and a battery 14. The appliance body 11 comprises a concave part 23 in which one surface is opened, a pair of side surface parts 20 forming side surfaces of the concave part 23, and an opening part 30 formed in the side surface part 20 on at least one side.
