Summary:To provide a method for collecting a titanium component or a method for manufacturing titanium oxide from a waste solution including a titanium compound, capable of reducing the collected titanium component or a calcium content in the titanium oxide even when using calcium hydroxide as a neutralizer.SOLUTION: A method for collecting a titanium component comprises: a step (1) of contacting a waste solution including a titanium compound to water to hydrolyze the titanium compound; an aggregation step (2) of performing primary neutralization of adding calcium hydroxide or calcium oxide as a neutralizer to the hydrolyzed treatment solution to be a pH of 1.5 or more and less than 2.5 and performing secondary neutralization so as to be a pH 6.5 or more and 7.5 or less to aggregate titanium hydroxide; and a step (3) of performing acid treatment of contacting the titanium hydroxide aggregate to hydrochloric acid to obtain titanium oxide.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】チタン化合物を含む排液から、チタン成分を回収する方法又は酸化チタンを製造する方法において、中和剤として水酸化カルシウムを用いても、回収チタン成分又は酸化チタン中のカルシウム含有量が少ない、チタン成分の回収方法又は酸化チタンの製造方法を提供する。【解決手段】チタン化合物を含む排液を水と接触させ、チタン化合物を加水分解処理する工程(1)と、加水分解処理を施した処理液に対し、中和剤として水酸化カルシウム又は酸化カルシウムを加えてpHを1.5以上2.5未満とする一次中和処理、次いでpHを6.5以上7.5以下とする二次中和処理を施し、水酸化チタンを凝集させる凝集処理工程(2)を有する。さらに、工程(2)より後段において、水酸化チタンの凝集物に塩酸を接触させる酸処理を行い、酸化チタンを得る工程(3)と、を有すること、を特徴とするチタン成分の回収方法。【選択図】図1
