Summary:To provide a technique for detecting a discharge-defective nozzle of a recording material.SOLUTION: An image processing device acquires a change amount of a pixel value in the case where a white stripe caused by discharge failure of a recording material is added to a first image printed using a plurality of nozzles for discharging a recording material. The image processing device generates a reliability image indicating reliability of detection in the case where each of the plurality of nozzles is detected as a discharge-defective nozzle of the recording material on the basis of the change amount, for each pixel position.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】 記録材の吐出不良のノズルを検出するための技術を提供すること。【解決手段】 記録材を吐出する複数のノズルを用いて印刷する第１画像に記録材の吐出不良に起因する白スジが加わった場合における画素値の変化量を取得する。変化量に基づき、複数のノズルのそれぞれを記録材の吐出不良のノズルとして検出した場合の該検出の信頼度を画素位置ごとに表す信頼度画像を生成する。【選択図】 図１
