Summary:To provide a preferable tide embankment and a construction method thereof, the tide embankment provided with a transparent plate placed on an upper part of an embankment, allowing a construction to be made in a simple performance and a construction period at the site to be remarkably reduced.SOLUTION: A construction method comprises: fixing a metal frame body 20 of a cross section in a generally U-shape on an upper part of an embankment 2 in a state of having a space opened upward inside; inserting lower edge parts 10a of respective transparent plates 10 and size changeable members 33 allowing sizes in a thickness direction of each of the transparent plates to be changed into the inside of the metal frame body 20; and fixing each of the transparent plates 10 on the metal frame body 20 by pressing the lower edge parts 10a with the size changeable members 33. In accordance with the present invention, the metal frame body 20 is installed on the upper part of the embankment 2 by fixing it with anchor bolts 3 and the like.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】 堤の上部に透明板が配置された防潮壁であって、簡単な作業で構成でき、現地での工事期間を大幅に短縮することができる好ましい防潮壁とその構成方法を提供する。【解決手段】 略Ｕ字状の横断面形状を有する金属枠体２０を、上向きに開いた空間を内側に有する状態で堤２の上部に固定し、各透明板１０の下方縁部１０ａと当該各透明板の厚さ方向に寸法を変え得る寸法変更部材３３とを金属枠体２０の内側に挿入し、各透明板１０を、下方縁部１０ａを寸法変更部材３３で押圧することによって金属枠体２０に固定する。発明では、その金属枠体２０を、アンカーボルト３で固定すること等により、堤２の上部に設置する。【選択図】 図１
