To provide a moving body having a volume reduction treatment unit that can sufficiently reduce the volume of a composite material without incurring increases in cost.SOLUTION: Provided is a vessel 1 equipped with a volume reduction treatment unit 20 for reducing the volume of a composite material 200 formed from a resin material that includes a fiber base material, a housing 2 in which the volume reduction treatment unit 20 is installed, and an internal combustion engine 3 for generating thrust to move the housing 2.
