Summary:To provide an apparatus for detecting a defect of a workpiece by which it is possible to more surely detect an abnormality occurred in a workpiece and it becomes easy to determine a location where an abnormality occurs.SOLUTION: A pressure sensor 7 is disposed at a punch 3 of a press machine 1 so as to measure a contact surface pressure with a workpiece 6, and a voltage value of a signal outputted from the pressure sensor 7 is recorded as data by a logger 13.
