To provide an article sorting device capable of high-speed operation without being affected by a falling object.SOLUTION: An article guiding device 16 having an endless chain is arranged above a conveying conveyor 12 in a direction crossing a conveying direction. A plurality of guide plates 34A and 34B are provided on each endless chain so as to have a section through which an article M conveyed on the conveying conveyor 12 can pass. When the article M conveyed on the conveying conveyor 12 is to be conveyed on the conveying conveyor 12 as it is, guide plates 34A and 34B of the endless chain are positioned at an upper span. When guiding the article M conveyed on the conveying conveyor 12 to a branch conveyor 14, at least one of the endless chains is driven to move the guide plate 34A or 34B to a lower span and into engagement with the article M.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】落下物の影響を受けることなく高速運転が可能な物品仕分け装置を提供する。【解決手段】無端チェーンを備える物品案内装置１６を搬送コンベヤ１２上方に搬送方向と交差する方向に配置する。搬送コンベヤ１２上を搬送される物品Ｍが通過可能な区間を有するように無端チェーンにそれぞれガイド板３４Ａ、３４Ｂを複数設ける。搬送コンベヤ１２上を搬送されてくる物品Ｍをそのまま搬送コンベヤ１２上を搬送させる場合は、無端チェーンのガイド板３４Ａ、３４Ｂを上側スパンに位置させる。搬送コンベヤ１２上を搬送されてくる物品Ｍを分岐コンベヤ１４へ案内する場合は、無端チェーンのうち少なくとも１つを駆動し、ガイド板３４Ａまたは３４Ｂを下側スパンに移動させ物品Ｍと係合させる。【選択図】図１
