Summary:To provide a catalyst particle carrier sheet enabling provision of a catalyst layer that is hard to cause insufficient display of function since problems of a tendency to easily discharge water, crack, dropout of catalyst particles are prevented form occurring.SOLUTION: A catalyst particle carrier sheet has a nonwoven fabric formed of fibers made of organic resin having water absorption percentage of 0.5% or less. Since average fiber diameter of the nonwoven fabric is larger than 300 nm and less than 1500 nm, a catalyst layer for which problems of crack, dropout of catalyst particles are prevented from occurring can be provided. Electrochemical element such as a fuel battery, which prevents power generation performance from being unintentionally reduced, can be provided.SELECTED DRAWING: None 【課題】水が排出され易いという問題の発生が防止されていると共に、ひび割れや触媒粒子の脱落が発生するのが防止されていることで、機能が充分発揮されないという問題が発生し難い触媒層を提供可能な、触媒粒子の担持シートの提供を目的とする。【解決手段】吸水率が0.5%以下の有機樹脂で構成された繊維からなる不織布を備えた触媒粒子の担持シートにおいて、不織布の平均繊維径が300nmより大きく1500nm未満であることによって、ひび割れの発生や触媒粒子が脱落するという問題の発生が防止された、触媒層を提供できる。また、本発明によって、発電性能が意図せず低下するのが防止された、燃料電池など電気化学用素子を提供できる。【選択図】なし
