In the plug cover 5, an injection hole 51 for communicating between the sub-combustion chamber 50 and the outside is formed. The ground electrode 6 is fixed to an inner wall surface 21 of the housing 2. The ground electrode 6 protrudes into the sub-combustion chamber 50 from a fixed end part 62 fixed to the inner wall surface 21. The discharge gap G is formed by an end part of a center electrode 4 and a base end surface 61 of the ground electrode 6 facing each other in a plug axis direction Z.
