Summary:To provide a zoom lens which offers a reduced size and higher magnification and is advantageous in terms of autofocusing, and to provide an image capturing device having the same.SOLUTION: A zoom lens is provided, comprising, in order from the object side, a first lens group having positive refractive power, an intermediate group comprising multiple lens groups configured to alter distances between adjacent lens groups thereof when zooming, and a final lens group. A focusing group configured to move while focusing is located in the intermediate group.
