Summary:To provide a hydrogen electrode for water vapor electrolysis where electron conductivity decreases a little even when exposed to a high-temperature water vapor.SOLUTION: A hydrogen electrode for water vapor electrolysis includes an active layer. The active layer is composed of a cermet containing a Ni-containing particle and an ACZ particle composed of a complex oxide (ACZ) of A2O3 (where A=Y, La, and/or Sc), CeO2, and ZrO2. An average value of a grain diameter of the ACZ particle is 0.071 μm or more and 2.5 μm or less. In the ACZ particle, a standard deviation of the grain diameter is preferably 0.35 μm or less. An electrode for water vapor electrolysis is further preferably provided with a diffusion layer formed on a surface on a separator side of the active layer.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8 【課題】高温の水蒸気に曝されても電子伝導性の低下が少ない水蒸気電解用水素極を提供すること。【解決手段】水蒸気電解用水素極は、活性層を含む。前記活性層は、Ni含有粒子と、A2O3(但し,A=Y、La、及び/又は、Sc)、CeO2及びZrO2の複合酸化物(ACZ)からなるACZ粒子とを含むサーメットからなる。前記ACZ粒子は、粒径の平均値が0.071μm以上2.5μm以下である。前記ACZ粒子は、粒径の標準偏差が0.35μm以下であるものが好ましい。水蒸気電解用電極は、前記活性層のセパレータ側表面に形成された拡散層をさらに備えているものでも良い。【選択図】図8
