To provide a control method for surely transferring a reply from a transmission destination facsimile device to a slave unit facsimile device being a transmission source in a facsimile system in which a master unit facsimile device performs facsimile-transmission to the transmission destination facsimile device on behalf of the slave unit facsimile device.SOLUTION: A master unit facsimile device transmits a sheet for reply including a two-dimensional code image indicating information of a slave unit facsimile device being a transmission source in addition to a document image from the slave unit facsimile device to a transmission destination facsimile device when performing proxy transmission of the document image of the slave unit facsimile device to the transmission destination facsimile device.
