Summary: | To provide an inductor and a mounting structure thereof that can handle high temperature and large current.SOLUTION: A first collar portion 15 of a core 12 is provided with first and third terminal electrodes 17 and 19, and a second collar portion 16 of the core is provided with second and fourth terminal electrodes 18 and 20. First and second wires 25 and 26 are wound around a winding core 13 in directions opposite to each other. The first and second terminal electrodes 17 and 18 are diagonally opposed, and the third and fourth terminal electrodes 19 and 20 are diagonally opposed. One end 25a of the first wire 25 is connected to the first terminal electrode 17, and the other end 25b is connected to the second terminal electrode 18. One end 26a of the second wire 26 is connected to the third terminal electrode 19, and the other end 26b is connected to the fourth terminal electrode 20. A current flows from a conductor commonly connecting the first and fourth terminal electrodes 17 and 20 toward a conductor commonly connecting the second and third terminal electrodes 18 and 19.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
