Summary:To provide a method for efficiently removing unburned carbon which is harmful when fly ash is used as a cement admixture and a concrete admixture.SOLUTION: When fly ash is heated and unburned carbon is oxidized and removed, a ferric oxide or a substance containing a ferric oxide is brought into contact with the fly ash. As the substance containing the ferric oxide, a substance obtained by subjecting copper slag to heating oxidation treatment can be preferably used. The ferric oxide or the substance containing the ferric oxide to be used is separated after heating treatment of fly ash. If a substance having a particle diameter of approximately 100-500 μm is used as the ferric oxide or the substance containing the ferric oxide, for example, a contact area with the fly ash is increased, and separation from the fly ash of approximately 20-40 μm is generally easy.SELECTED DRAWING: None 【課題】 フライアッシュをセメント混合材やコンクリート混合材として使用する場合に有害となる未燃炭素を効率的に除去する方法を提供する。【解決手段】 フライアッシュを加熱して未燃炭素を酸化除去するに際して、酸化第二鉄あるいは酸化第二鉄を含有する物質をフライアッシュと接触させておく。酸化第二鉄を含有する物質としては、銅スラグを加熱酸化処理したものなどが好適に使用できる。フライアッシュの加熱処理後には用いた酸化第二鉄や酸化第二鉄含有物質は分離する。例えば、酸化第二鉄や酸化第二鉄含有物質として粒径が100~500μm程度のものを用いれば、フライアッシュとの接触面積が多くなり、かつ一般に20~40μm程度のフライアッシュとの分離が容易である。【選択図】 なし
