Summary:To provide a rotating machine system capable of detecting abnormality of a power transmission mechanism at low cost and in a short time.SOLUTION: In a rotating machine system, a rotating machine 4 and a load machine 8 or a power source or the like are connected via a power transmission mechanism, such as a belt 7. A current measurement part 101 measures a phase current of at least one phase of the rotating machine 4. A frequency spectrum calculation part 102 calculates a frequency spectrum for a phase current measured by the current measurement part 101. A deterioration index calculation part 103 calculates a total value or an average value of amplitude at frequencies excluding a frequency range to be removed including a power supply frequency for a frequency spectrum calculated by the frequency spectrum calculation part 102 as a deterioration index.
