Summary: | To provide a method for manufacturing a molding material for a resin gear, that can strengthen the resin gear and is easy to handle, and a method for manufacturing the resin gear.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a molding material 6 for a resin gear comprises: a first step for preparing a raw material 5 containing a thermocurable resin powder 2 and a wet fiber 3; and a second step for forming the molding material 6 for the resin gear by mixing the raw material 5 by a mixer 10 for a predetermined time. The wet fiber 3 contains a first fiber 3P being a para-aramid fiber, and a second fiber 3M being a meta-aramid fiber. A fiber length of the first fiber 3P is 3±1 mm.
