To provide an augmented reality system in which only a specific user can confirm virtual information.SOLUTION: An augmented reality system for adding virtual information to a gift comprises a first user terminal 1, a second user terminal 2, and a server 3. Its operation comprises augmented reality information generation means, code information generation means, notification information generation means, connection means, image generation means, display information generation means, and display means. The notification information generating means acquires code information transmitted from the server 3 and uses the first user terminal 1 to generate notification information including the code information.
