To provide a pump assisting instrument capable of operating a pump more easily and a pump device.SOLUTION: Provided is a pump assisting instrument that can be fixed to a pump capable of discharging liquid from a discharge port by applying a substantially vertically downward force to a head portion having the discharge port. The pump assisting instrument comprises: a fixing member fixable to the pump; and a lever member including a first connecting portion connected to the fixing member and rotating with the first connecting portion as a fulcrum. The lever member includes a power point portion and an action point portion. The action point portion can be in contact with the head portion of the pump. The force point portion can be positioned below the discharge port of the pump.
