To provide a travel method of a virtual character within a parallel reality game.SOLUTION: A player may send a virtual character so as to travel to a remote position in a parallel reality game. The remote position is a virtual position corresponding to a position of a real world other than a place in which the player is positioned. Therefore, the player can send a virtual character to a virtual position without traveling to a corresponding position of a real world oneself. Travel time and route for travel such that a character arrives at the remote position are determined. When the virtual character arrives at a remote position once, the character stays there for a fixed continuation time. A client device of the player near a remote position may express visual expression of the virtual character.
