To provide a work machine capable of preventing dust from being deposited around an exhaust pipe.SOLUTION: The work machine comprises: a vehicle body; an engine building (9) that is supported on the vehicle body and that stores an engine and a cooling fan; and an exhaust pipe (13) that is disposed at a position to be exposed outside the vehicle body and that discharges exhaust gas discharged from the engine to the outside of the vehicle body. The upper surface of the vehicle body has a first surface (14) that constitutes the upper surface of the engine building (9) and a second surface (15) lower than the first surface (14). The exhaust pipe (13) is provided to project upward from the second surface (15). An opening (18) for discharging cool air generated in the engine building (9) by the cooling fan toward the outer surface of the exhaust pipe (13) is provided on a step surface (16) between the first and second surfaces (14 and 15).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 【課題】排気管の周辺に塵埃が堆積するのを防止可能な作業機械を提供する。【解決手段】作業機械は、車体と、車体に支持されて、エンジン及び冷却ファンを収容するエンジン建屋（９）と、車体の外部に露出する位置に配置されて、エンジンから排出された排気ガスを車体の外部に排出する排気管（１３）とを備え、車体の上面は、エンジン建屋（９）の上面を構成する第１面（１４）と、第１面（１４）より低い第２面（１５）とを有し、排気管（１３）は、第２面（１５）から上方に突出して設けられており、第１面（１４）及び第２面（１５）の間の段差面（１６）には、冷却ファンにより生起されたエンジン建屋（９）内の冷却風を、排気管（１３）の外面に向けて排出する開口（１８）が設けられている。【選択図】図３
