To provide a crime prevention device and a crime prevention method capable of effectively preventing a crime by using a mobile body.SOLUTION: A pedestrian detection unit receives a captured image transmitted from a vehicle and detects a pedestrian from the captured image. A pedestrian attribute estimation unit estimates an attribute of the pedestrian from the captured image. A pedestrian progressing region estimation unit estimates a pedestrian progressing region where the pedestrian walks on the basis of the captured image. A traffic calculation unit calculates a traffic in the pedestrian progressing region. A risk level calculation unit calculates a risk level of the pedestrian being involved in a crime on the basis of the attribute of the pedestrian and the traffic in the pedestrian progressing region.
