Summary: | To provide an image processing method capable of matching the observation positions of an ultrasound tomogram and an optical coherence tomogram obtained by a dual-type catheter having IVUS and OCT functions.SOLUTION: An image processing method acquires a plurality of ultrasound tomograms and a plurality of optical coherence tomograms, facing radially outward from the lumen of a hollow organ, while moving a sensor unit having an ultrasound transmitter/receiver that transmits and receives ultrasound and an optical transmitter/receiver that transmits and receives light along a running direction of the hollow organ, recognizes first lumen images of the hollow organ contained in the ultrasound tomograms, recognizes second lumen images of the hollow organ contained in the optical coherence tomograms, and corrects the reciprocal relationship between the ultrasound tomograms and the optical coherence tomograms on the basis of the recognized plurality of first and second lumen images so that the observation positions are adjusted.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】IVUS機能及びOCT機能を備えるデュアルタイプのカテーテルを用いて得られた超音波断層画像及び光干渉断層画像の観察位置を整合させることができる画像処理方法を提供する。【解決手段】管腔器官の内腔から径方向の外側を向いて超音波を送受信する超音波送受信部及び光を送受信する光送受信部を有するセンサ部を管腔器官の走行方向に沿って移動させながら、複数の観察位置における複数の超音波断層画像及び複数の光干渉断層画像を取得し、超音波断層画像に含まれる管腔器官の第1内腔画像を認識し、光干渉断層画像に含まれる管腔器官の第2内腔画像を認識し、認識した複数の第1内腔画像と、第2内腔画像に基づいて、観察位置が整合するように超音波断層画像及び光干渉断層画像の対応関係を補正する。【選択図】図1 |
