Summary: | To provide a piercer plug having a long service life, that is appropriately improved in lubricity without impairing peeling resistance and abrasion resistance.SOLUTION: A piercer plug 1 comprises a plug body 2, and a sprayed coating 3 formed on a surface of the plug body 2. The sprayed coating 3 is divided into three areas being a tip area 31, a rolling area 32, and a bottom area 33. The tip area 31 consists of Fe, O and impurities because abrasion resistance is strongly requested during piercing rolling of a billet. The rolling area 32 consists of Fe, O, W, and impurities because lubricity is strongly requested during piercing rolling. A content of W excluding O in the rolling area 32 is 4.0 wt.% or less. Accordingly, abrasion speed in the rolling area 32 is sufficiently reduced during piercing rolling, and lubricity that is strongly requested in the rolling area 32 can be appropriately improved. As a result thereof, the piercer plug 1 with a long service life can be obtained that is improved in lubricity without impairing the peeling resistance and abrasion resistance.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
【課題】耐剥離性及び耐摩耗性を損なわずに適切に潤滑性を向上させた長寿命のピアサープラグを提供する。【解決手段】ピアサープラグ1は、プラグ本体2と、プラグ本体2の表面に形成された溶射皮膜3とを備える。溶射皮膜3は、先端領域31、圧延領域32及び底領域33の3つの領域に分割される。先端領域31は、ビレットの穿孔圧延時に耐摩耗性が強く要求されるため、Fe、O及び不純物からなる。圧延領域32は、穿孔圧延時に潤滑性が強く要求されるため、Fe、O、W及び不純物からなる。圧延領域32におけるOを除くWの含有率は4.0重量%以下である。これにより、穿孔圧延時、圧延領域32の摩耗速度が十分に低下し、圧延領域32に強く要求される潤滑性を適切に向上できる。その結果、耐剥離性及び耐摩耗性を損なわず適切に潤滑性を向上させた長寿命のピアサープラグ1を得ることができる。【選択図】図4 |
