Summary:To provide an internal combustion engine system capable of facilitating merging of EGR gas with fresh air, and a vehicle.SOLUTION: An internal combustion engine system comprises an intake passage that guides fresh air to a combustion chamber, and an EGR passage in which part of exhaust gas from the combustion chamber is used as EGR gas and merged with the fresh air flowing through the intake passage. The intake passage has an upstream side passage arranged on the upstream side of the fresh air with respect to a predetermined position in the intake passage and having a passage cross-sectional area that decreases toward the downstream side of the fresh air, and a downstream side passage arranged on the downstream side of the fresh air with respect to the predetermined position and having a passage cross-sectional area that expands toward the downstream side of the fresh air.
