Summary: | To provide a pressed powder material having an excellent magnetic characteristic and a rotary electric machine.SOLUTION: A pressed powder material of an embodiment, is a pressed powder material comprising: a first magnetic metal particle having a magnetic metal phase including Fe and Co; and a second magnetic metal particle having the magnetic metal phase including Fe. When an amount of Co with respect to a total amount of Fe and Co of the first and second magnetic metal particles is denoted as Co1 and Co2, respectively, a ratio of Co2 with respect to the Co1 (Co2/Co1) is 0 or more and 0.5 or less. In an average value of the ratio of the major axis to the minor axis, the first magnetic metal particle is two or more, the second magnetic metal particle is one or more, and the second magnetic metal particle exists between particles of the first magnetic metal particle. The average value of the major axis of the second magnetic metal particle is the same as compared with the average value of the major axis of the first magnetic metal particle, or longer than them.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
