To provide a printer that is able to reduce abrasion of an electrical connection part in an operation of attaching/detaching a detachable member to/from a body part.SOLUTION: A printer has a pressing mechanism that brings an electrical connection part, provided on a detachable member, into a state of pressing the electrical connection part to a body-side electrical connection part and a state of releasing the pressing. The pressing mechanism includes: a first moving member movable upstream and downstream in a mounting direction of the detachable member in a detachable member accommodating part; and a second moving member movable in a direction intersecting the mounting direction and a pressing direction of the electric connection part to the body-side electrical connection part, by the downstream movement of the first moving member. By an operation of closing an opening/closing member, the first moving member is moved downstream in the mounting direction to perform the pressing.
