Summary:To provide a compressor capable of preventing generation of an overcurrent in a fan motor of a fan for supplying cooling air to a heat exchanger, due to change of an ambient air temperature of an installation site.SOLUTION: A compressor 1 includes; a compressor main body 2 sucking a gas to be compressed and compressing the same; heat exchangers 11, 12 for cooling a cooled object while circulating the same inside; a fan 14 driven by a fan motor 13 and sending a cooling gas to the heat exchangers 11, 12 for heat removal; a temperature sensor 21 for detecting a cooling gas initial temperature as a temperature of the cooling gas in a state of not being applied to heat removal of the heat exchangers 11, 12; and a control portion 5 capable of setting an upper limit frequency as a control upper limit of a rotational frequency of the fan motor 13. The control portion 5 determines the upper limit frequency to a rotational frequency or less to keep the electric current supplied to the fan motor 13 at an allowable current value, at each of cooling gas initial temperatures detected by the temperature sensor 21.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】圧縮機において、設置場所の周囲温度の変化によって熱交換器に冷却風を供給するファンのファンモータで過電流が発生することを防止する。【解決手段】圧縮機1は、被圧縮ガスを吸い込んで圧縮する圧縮機本体2、内部に冷却対象を流通させながら冷却するための熱交換器11,12、ファンモータ13によって駆動され熱交換器11,12に冷却ガスを送風して抜熱させるファン14、及び熱交換器11,12の抜熱に供していない状態の冷却ガスの温度である冷却ガス初期温度を検出するための温度センサ21、及びファンモータ13の回転周波数の制御上限である上限周波数を設定可能な制御部5を備える。制御部5は、温度センサ21で検出された個々の冷却ガス初期温度において、ファンモータ13に供給される電流が許容電流値となる回転周波数以下となるように上限周波数を設定する。【選択図】図1
