Summary: | To provide a vehicle control device which can suppress that an unnecessary collision avoidance behavior is performed.SOLUTION: A vehicle control device comprises: a lane detection unit 31 which detects a lane on which a vehicle 10 travels; a routing unit 32 which sets a route on which the vehicle 10 is scheduled to travel along the detected lane; a detection unit 33 which detects a lane division line dividing the lane on which the vehicle 10 travels and an obstacle existing in the surroundings of the vehicle 10; an effective section specification unit 34 which specifies an effective section coincident with the detected lane division line of the scheduled route; and a control unit 36 which controls a behavior of the vehicle 10 to avoid collision between the obstacle and the vehicle 10 when a position of the obstacle is included in the effective section, and the obstacle is located on the scheduled route.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
