Summary:To provide an active material layer forming device, capable of improving yields.SOLUTION: An active material layer forming device 103 includes: a particle mixing section 120 mixing composite particles 15 and magnetic carrier particles 200 to prepare composite carrier particles 205 in which the composite particles 15 adhere on a surface of the magnetic carrier particle 200; a backup roll 130 transporting a current collector foil 3; a magnet roll 140 magnetically attracting the composite carrier particles 205 located in the particle mixing section 120 on an outer peripheral surface to transport the composite carrier particles in a circumferential direction; a DC power supply 150 applying DC voltage between the backup roll 130 and the magnet roll 140; and a squeegee 127 arranged on the side of the magnet roll 140 with a second gap K2 with respect to the outer peripheral surface 140m of the magnet roll 140 above the particle mixing section 120.
