Summary:To provide a novel noble metal complex that can allow an acetic acid synthesis reaction or the like involving carbonylation of methanol to proceed even when carbon dioxide is adopted as a constituent of the reaction system.SOLUTION: Provided is an Rh complex in which a quarter pyridine ligand and two halogens A and B are coordinated to Rh. The Rh complex can accept electrons in water and be reduced to form an electron-donating intermediate complex, and further can impart new activity to the reaction system constituent substance. This enables acetic acid synthesis by carbonylation of carbon dioxide.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】メタノールのカルボニル化を含む酢酸の合成反応等について、反応系の構成として二酸化炭素を適用した場合であっても反応を進行させ得る新たな貴金属錯体を提供する。【解決手段】Rhにクォーターピリジン配位子と2つのハロゲンA、Bが配位したRh錯体である。このRh錯体は、水中で電子を受容し還元されて電子供与性の中間錯体を形成し、更に、反応系の構成物質に新たな活性を付与することができる。これにより、二酸化炭素のカルボニル化による酢酸合成を可能とする。【選択図】図1
