Summary:To accurately detect the presence or absence of residual water in a reaction vessel.SOLUTION: An autoanalyzer according to an embodiment comprises a reaction vessel, irradiation means, light detection means, absorbance calculation means, and residual water detection means. The irradiation means irradiates the reaction vessel with light. The light detection means detects light passing through the reaction vessel. The absorbance calculation means determines absorbance based on a temporal change waveform indicating a change with time of a signal value output from the light detection means.
