Summary:To provide a spark plug for an internal combustion, capable of suppressing a preignition.SOLUTION: In a spark plug 1, a nozzle hole 51 communicating a sub combustion chamber 50 with an external part is formed in a plug cover 5 provided to a tip end part of a housing 2 so as to cover the sub combustion chamber 50. A borne part 31 as one part of an external peripheral surface of an insulator 3, is supported from a plug shaft direction Z by a support part 21 as one part of an inner peripheral surface of the housing 2. In an external periphery of the housing 2, a screw part 22 of which a calling radiator is M14 or less is formed. A volume of the sub combustion chamber 50 is set to Vcc. A distance from a tip end of the screw part 22 in the plug shaft direction Z to the tip end of an inner side open part 511 of the nozzle hole 51 is set to Hmm. A length of the plug shaft direction Z of a part of the tip end side from the supported part 31 in the insulator 3 is set to Lmm.
