Summary:To provide an electrode catheter further reliably bringing an electrode to contact with a wall of the atrium.SOLUTION: A plurality of spines 30a-30n are formed of a shape-memory alloy into shapes, each memorizing any shape out of a plurality of shapes with a same curve length having outward-projecting curved portions of smooth curves, are bundled at hand-side ends and tip-side ends, and inserted into the atrium, with their straightened in a sheath 28. Then, the sheath 28 is removed therefrom in the atrium, and as the tip-side ends and the hand-side ends are made closer by a central shaft 26, the spines are radially opened and returned into the memorized shape. Electrodes 32a-32n are disposed at positions coming into contact with an inner wall of the atrium, of the curved portions.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】より確実に電極を心房内壁に接触させる電極カテーテルを提供する。【解決手段】複数のスパイン30a~30nを、形状記憶合金により滑らかな曲線による外側に凸の湾曲部を有する同一の曲線長の複数の形状のいずれかの形状が記憶された形状として形成し、手元側端部および先端側端部で束ね、シース28内で直線状とされた状態で心房に挿入し、心房内でシース28が外されて中心軸26により先端側端部と手元側端部とを近づけるにしたがって放射状に開いて記憶された形状に戻るように配置し、湾曲部の心房の内壁に接触する位置に電極32a~32nを配置する。【選択図】図1
