Summary:To provide a battery separator, a power storage battery, a battery pack, an electric vehicle, and a manufacturing method for the battery separator capable of preventing joint defects in joints even when ribs are provided.SOLUTION: A battery separator includes: a base having a first main part located on one end side in a first direction and a second main part located on the other end side in the first direction; a joint part that joins one end part of the first main part and one end part of the second main part in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction, and extends in a third direction perpendicular to the first direction and the second direction; and a plurality of first ribs that protrude from the first main part in the first direction, extends in the third direction, and are periodically arranged in the second direction.
