Summary: | To provide a technology capable of effectively suppressing deterioration of a water electrolysis stack in a hydrogen production system that produces hydrogen using a plurality of water electrolysis stacks.SOLUTION: In a hydrogen production system 1, a power distribution control system 14 formulates an operation rotation plan for a water electrolysis stack on the basis of the deterioration characteristics that indicate the susceptibility of the water electrolysis stack to deterioration. According to this operation rotation plan, the operation state of the water electrolysis stack is assigned to either an operation priority stack that preferentially receives power, a stop priority stack that stops for a long period of time, or an intermediate operation stack.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
